Doyle Dennis Avery LLP has filed a general maritime law and Jones Act Lawsuit against Manson Gulf, LLC, C&G Welding, Inc., and Triple C Enterprises Inc. of Louisians on behalf of a seaman who suffered a serious knee injury. The suit was filed in District Court in Harris County, Texas which is located in Houston, Texas.
The suit alleges that Manson Gulf, C&G, and Triple C were negligent in their operation of a derrick barge called the E.P. PAUP, that caused significant injuries to Doyle Dennis Avery LLP’s Client onboard the vessel on September 27, 2017. The incident in question was caused by the Defendants’ failure to properly equip the vessel with a properly maintained ladder to allow Doyle Dennis Avery LLP’s Client to safely enter or leave his bunk. Because the ladder was in poor condition and not properly secured it moved causing Doyle Dennis Avery LLP’s Client to suffer a serious knee injury.
Manson Gulf, C&G, and Triple C were the owners andr operators of derrick barge E.P. PAUP, and that suit alleges that they were responsible for its dangerous and unseaworthy conditions, which were a legal cause of the injuries.
Doyle Dennis Avery LLP filed the suit under the Jones Act, which is federal law that protects crewmembers, who are assigned to a fleet of vessels controlled by their employer. In the suit, Doyle Dennis Avery LLP is seeking monetary compensation for medical treatment, lost wages, mental anguish, and pain and suffering caused by the incident.
