Jeff Avery is a partner at Doyle Dennis Avery LLP in Houston, Texas and proudly represents injured workers who have suffered injuries while working offshore. Through his experience and knowledge, Jeff has fought for the rights of these workers in and out of court.
Biography
Jeff obtained a B.A. in 2009 at the Vanguard University, Costa Mesa, California and a J.D. in 2012 from the UCLA School of Law, Los Angeles, California
During his time at Doyle Dennis, Jeff has played an important role in the firm’s trial victories, including the $7.86 million verdict in Gillies v. Valaris PLC, $1.9 million verdict in Newberne v. the State of North Carolina, $500,000 verdict in the case Ellis v. Ace America Insurance Co., $350,000 verdict in the case Deaver v. Noble Drilling, and $1.73 million verdict in the case Ball v. Alleyton Resource Company. Jeff has also argued before the 9th and 5th Circuit Courts of Appeals.
ACTIVITIES
Jeff is also actively involved in the American Association of Justice and is currently the vice-chair of the Admiralty Section. As part of this role, Jeff presented at the Admiralty Section CLE, for the AAJ Summer Convention in 2018 on the subject “Overcoming Excursion and Recreational Releases.” Jeff was also the moderator for the Admiralty Section CLE for the 2021 Summer Convention. Jeff is also a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
